I must be a true Seattle ite because I am SOOO over summer. A very large part of that could be that I dont have air conditioning and my huge windows face the sun all afternoon. For the last 2 months my house has had an average temperature of 78 degrees. INSIDE, there have been a few days when it has gotten up to 82. SO so so hot. I am ready for long pants and sweatshirts.

We have gone to A LOT of sporting events lately. Some times I have opted out and just let the boys go. Since the Mariners like to make you believe they are good, and give you false hope that "this could be the year" we have gone to their games. Q seems to love it, especially if he gets his own seat. I love going to football games. I prefer them to baseball and basketball. We have season tickets to the Huskies so we go to all the home games. Sometimes Eric gets lucky and gets extra tickets. So we can bring friends! Last game we brought Donald and Emma. We sat in the shade, cause you know in the middle of September it was 80 degrees. We had a lot of fun though!

A post wouldn't be the same if I didnt include our monthly trip to the ER right?
The first trip was croup. We went to play at a friends, and within 5 minutes he couldn't breath. He didn't have any symptoms before, so I had to call the doctor to find out what was wrong. Apparently that happens. Completely healthy kid one minute, struggling to breath from croup the next.
The next trip to the ER was super scary are required us to stay for 6 plus hours. After we had dinner one night Q started crying uncontrollably. We did everything we could think of to calm him, but nothing worked. He was also having a really hard time breathing. We rushed him to the ER right away, cause we knew he was having a severe allergic reaction. I have never given him an Epi Pen and as long as I live 3 minutes away, I dont plan on it. As soon as we walked in the doors they could tell he was in severe distress so gave him the epi pen, started an IV, and started a breathing treatment. They kept us there for 6 hours to make sure once the medicines wore off he wouldn't go into shock again.  Luckily Q was pretty tired from the treatments, and from crying so hard. I'm sure he was also really scared. So he let us lay with him and watch some movies while we waited.  Luckily he didn't go back into shock, so they sent us home. That doesn't mean I slept good. I'm pretty sure I woke up to check him every hour. We dont know what caused it, but afterwards I deep cleaned my entire house, and wanted to throw everything away.

Happier things also happened in August! Eric's grandparents came into town so they had lunch with us and took us to the Pacific Science Center. You would think I would take pictures but no. I was having too much fun. Q did NOT like the dinosaurs. He kept jumping from one person to the other trying to get them to save him. He eventually warmed up to the butterflies but not enough to get down on the ground himself. Before we went we played at the park by us. Grandpa Dolder pushed Q around in 'his" car. Q was on cloud 9.

He thinks he owns this car. If I had a bigger yard/house he might be getting one for his birthday. Sadly he will have to borrow the one at the playground.

This is how Q shops. If he isn't covering Eric's eyes, then he is grabbing his ears. Its pretty funny.

Now we just have to wait till Baby Hermione gets here! Q made sure her carseat worked and was comfortable for her.
