I just had to say goodbye to one of my closest friends here in Madison. She started out as my Visiting Teaching Companion but quickly became one of my dearest friend. She has been my life preserver and family out here. She was there for me when no one else was. She would invite me over so I could get out of my apartment, bring me Diet Cokes in Styrofoam cups, and was my shoulder to cry on. Even if it was in the Olive Garden parking lot. I owe so much to her.
She is moving to Ohio this Friday, I am sure it is one of God's blessing that she is moving at the same time as I am. I dont know what I would do if she moved away and I was left here without her.
I have a huge appreciation to Visiting Teaching now. God will put you with a companion and sisters to teach that will become your friends and as needed you will lean on each other and grow together. I truly believe God knew I would need Alisa and he put her into my life. If it hadn't been for being companions we wouldn't have become friends, she had 2 kids at the time and I had none. We wouldn't have hung out at all, but since we would go visiting teaching we learned that we had so much in common and had a lot to talk about! Moral of the story: DO YOUR VISITING TEACHING. You may just meet a great friend.
Alisa I love you, and I dont want to say Goodbye. So instead its so long, until we meet in Utah (cause everyone meets in Utah) I will bring the Diet Cokes. :) I love you!
